Fargo's Noridian Administrative Services inks first-of-its-kind contract with ChinaFARGO - Fargo-based Noridian Administrative Services has signed a contract with Xinxiang, China, to serve as third party administrator for a new government social medicine insurance program in China.
The contract is the first of its kind between an international company and a Chinese government agency for the Chinese health care reform program.
“This is a joint pilot project with an opportunity for future growth,” said Mike Hamerlik, NAS president and chief executive officer.
To fulfill the contract, NAS had formed a new subsidiary called Healthcare Administration Association of America.
NAS plans to hire new employees. Some current employees will work in China, mostly for relatively short stays, to help service the contract, Hamerlik said.
