North Dakota Supreme Court disbars Fargo attorney

BISMARCK – The North Dakota Supreme Court has disbarred a Fargo attorney who pleaded guilty to terrorizing and concealed weapons charges in September 2007.

Robert Light’s law practice license had previously been suspended.

Light pleaded guilty in Cass County District Court to charges of terrorizing and carrying a concealed firearm after he pointed a loaded gun at a Fargo police officer Dec. 15, 2006.

He received a three-year sentence, with 18 months in prison and supervised probation for the rest of the term.

Light has also been ordered to pay costs of $5,575.41 in connection with his disbarment.
