Fargo Catholic schools getting new athletic fields and stadiumFARGO - For the first time in Shanley High School and Sullivan Middle School’s history, they’ll have their own home field.
The Fargo Catholic Schools Network is announcing later today that construction will begin this summer on an athletic field and stadium thanks to their capital campaign.
The athletic field will have artificial turf.
“(We) haven’t had a home,” Development Director Todd Mickelson said. “It’s just going to be huge.”
Construction on the Sid Cichy Stadium and Shelly Ellig Athletic Complex will begin this summer, with hopes to have the field ready to host athletic games this fall, Mickelson said.
The press conference takes place at 3 p.m. today at Shanley/Sullivan’s GROW Auditorium.
