Gina Anderson search to resume Saturday in Fargo, West Fargo
“We just feel we need to do this,” Judy Lappegaard, mother of Gina Anderson, said Thursday.
Anderson, 33, was last seen Oct. 23 – six months ago on Thursday – driving away from her home.
Lappegaard said Saturday’s search will include Fargo’s 19th Avenue North and an area near West Fargo’s Rendezvous Park, where callers reported seeing Anderson’s car.
Authorities have said they aren’t ruling out anything in Anderson’s disappearance, but that there’s no evidence of foul play.
Volunteers aren’t needed for Saturday’s search, Lappegaard said.
Law enforcement officers conducted a river search in the Thief River Falls area on Tuesday and an aerial search on Wednesday in the same area, Thief River Falls Police Chief Kim Murphy said Thursday.
Neither search found anything, he said.
Murphy praised the efforts of Fargo police in searching for Anderson, but said family members themselves wanted to search Saturday.
Lappegaard thanked the many people she said have helped look for her daughter.
“People have just been wonderful,” she said.
