Bands announce RibFest dates

The Fargodome isn’t ready to announce the lineup for June’s RibFest, but some bands are already squealing about the dates.

The touring industry Web site www.pollstar.com lists Rodney Atkins, Three Dog Night and Eve 6 appearing at the Fargodome June 4, 5 and 6.

Kris Packer, sales and marketing manager at the Fargodome, said the facility was not ready to announce the lineup but hoped to as early as next week.

Atkins’ Web site lists the singer playing the event on June 4. Since 2006, Atkins landed a string of chart-topping country hits, including “If You’re Going Through Hell (Before the Devil Even Knows),” “Watching You,” “These Are My People” and “It’s America.”

The site for classic rockers Three Dog Night, which scored hits with “Joy to the World,” “One,” “An Old Fashioned Love Song” and “Mama Told Me (Not to Come),” lists a June 5 appearance.

Eve 6’s MySpace.com page lists the band as playing the event on June 6. The trio earned radio airplay between 1998 and 2001 with songs such as “Inside Out,” “Promise” and “Here’s to the Night.”
