U18 World Hockey Championships Roundup: Sweden, Finland each post victories

Sweden continued rolling through Pool A at the World U18 Championship, slamming Switzerland 11-0 on Monday at Moorhead Sports Center.

Magnus Svensson Paajarvi had two goals and three assists, while Oliver Ekman Larsson had two goals and two assists.

Sweden takes on Canada at 4 p.m. today at Urban Plains Center.

Finland 10, Norway 1

Toni Rajala and Teemu Pulkkinen each scored a hat trick as Finland scored six second-period goals to set up a 10-1 win over Norway at Moorhead Sports Center.

Rajala also had four assists, and Pulkkinen added three helpers.

The win put Finland at

2-1 in Pool B, and the Finns could wrap up a spot in the medal round with a win over Slovakia today.
