Otto earns nominations, but not for hit ‘Just Got Started’

Former Fargoan and rising country star James Otto could leave tonight’s Academy of Country Music Awards with a trophy – but not for his hit song “Just Got Started Lovin’ You.”

Rather, Otto could win some hardware for his songwriting contributions on Jamey Johnson’s “In Color,” which is up for song of the year.

Surprisingly, Otto’s hit tune didn’t earn any nominations despite being the

most-played country radio song of 2008.

Otto was also up for an ACM award for top new male vocalist but lost to Jake Owen. That award was previously announced.
