Fargo man in critical condition after head-on collision in Otter Tail CountyFARGO – A 48-year-old Fargo man is in critical condition at a hospital here following a head-on collision Thursday morning on Highway 59 in Otter Tail County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Paul Polzin, 48, was driving a 2001 Buick southbound about 9:23 a.m. when he entered a snow cloud and went into the northbound lane, colliding with Peter Restad of Pelican Rapids, Minn., who was northbound in a 2006 Ford truck, the Patrol said in a news release.
The accident occurred between Erhard and Elizabeth, the release stated.
Restad, 50, suffered non-serious injuries and was treated and released, the release stated.
Airbags were deployed in both vehicles and both men were wearing seat belts, the release stated.
Polzin’s vehicle was totaled. Restad’s suffered severe damage, the release stated.
