Langseth sings on ‘Idol’ tonight

Jesse Langseth, the former Fargoan now living in Minneapolis, will be singing live tonight on “American Idol” as she tries to advance to the singing competition’s next round.

The TV show starts at

7 on the local Fox affiliate KVRR, Channel 10 in Fargo and Moorhead

Langseth, who is the younger sister of former blues prodigy Jonny Lang, will be singing with group 2. Two of the group’s singers – the man and the woman with the highest number of votes called in by viewers – will move from this round to the finals.

If Langseth doesn’t make the final two, she still has a chance to advance. The performer with the highest vote total outside of the two who advance will be slotted for a wild card round to be held before “Idol’s” finals.

The results of tonight’s competition will be announced at 7 p.m. Thursday during another live “Idol” episode.
