$1.5M awarded for homeless in NDWASHINGTON – North Dakota’s Congressional Delegation announced Monday that $1.5 million has been awarded to agencies statewide to feed and shelter the homeless.
According to a news release, Fargo area agencies receiving funds are Fargo Housing and Redevelopment Authority/Shelter Plus Care Renewal, $351,420; and the YWCA of Cass Clay, $214,781.
These grants were awarded as part of the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Continuum of Care Homeless Assistance programs that offer transitional and permanent housing and other supportive services to homeless individuals.
Social Service agencies in North Dakota anticipate seeing a record number or homeless people this year.
