New Jamestown hospital a dilemma for Fire DepartmentJAMESTOWN, N.D. - A new hospital planned here is presenting a dilemma for the local Fire Department.
The department's long-range plan calls for a third fire station to be built in the northeast part of the city, where future growth is expected. But the new hospital will be in the southwest, off Interstate 94.
Fire Chief Jim Reuther says the new hospital throws a big twist into the department's planning. He says with the new hospital, fire protection needs could expand in two directions.
