Minnesota students making mosaics

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. – Several area Minnesota grade school students are participating in the art project “Mosaic Mania! Breaking Glass, Expanding Minds.”

The project is organized by the Historic Homes Theatre in Detroit Lakes and glass artist Becky Mitchell.

Each classroom is producing a large mosaic window, and each student will also be able to make a mosaic to take home.

Participating schools are Barnesville; Circle of Life, Frazee; Lake Park-Audubon; Holy Rosary, Roosevelt and Rossman, all Detroit Lakes; Perham; and Waubun-Ogema.
