LRAC offers grants for arts groupsFERGUS FALLS, Minn. – The Lake Region Arts Council here is offering Tier I and Tier II operating support grants to community arts organizations.
Tier I grants are available to any community arts organization with annual operating expenses of less than $60,000.
Tier II grants are available to any community arts organization with annual operating expenses greater than $60,000 and less than $140,000.
To be eligible, organizations must have federal tax-exempt 501(c)3 status and be located in the LRAC region, which includes Becker, Clay, Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Pope, Stevens, Traverse and Wilkin counties of Minnesota.
Tier I and Tier II operating grants are one-year awards that strengthen and stabilize arts organizations in the region by providing ongoing financial support for staff salaries, equipment, building projects or other general operating expenses.
A grant-writing workshop will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. March 4 in the LRAC offices in Fergus Falls. The workshop will familiarize potential applicants with the grant guidelines and the application process. There is no fee, but registration is required.
The grant application deadline is April 7, and grant reviews will be held May 19.
