Eden Valley boy hurt in 50-foot snowmobile plungeEDEN VALLEY, Minn. (AP) – An Eden Valley teenager was hurt when the snowmobile he was driving dropped 40 to 50 feet from the top of a hill into a gravel pit.
The Stearns County sheriff’s office says the 16-year-old boy was riding the snowmobile on private property in Eden Valley Township when the accident happened at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
The boy was traveling in an unfamiliar area when he drove up a hill, which ended in the gravel pit. He landed in frozen sand and was taken to St. Cloud Hospital.
