Fargo man pleads not guilty in rape caseA 40-year-old Fargo man pleaded not guilty Thursday in Cass County District Court to a charge accusing him of raping a woman at a party in September.
Jildo Alau Uyin faces up to life in prison if convicted of the Class AA felony gross sexual imposition charge in connection with the Sept. 14 incident.
He is accused of punching a 25-year-old Fargo woman in the mouth and knocking her down before raping her in a bathroom at a party, court documents state.
Uyin told police the sex was consensual. He is being held on $100,000 cash or bond bail and is set to appear next March 25.
