Police investigating armed robbery

A man told West Fargo police he was working on a car in his garage when two males wearing ski masks approached him, told him to get on the ground, struck him on the head several times with what he thought was a crowbar and took his wallet.

The incident was reported at 11:22 p.m. Tuesday at 1401 12th St. E.

The victim told police the suspects got into a dark-colored, possibly blue, Ford Taurus, according to a police news release.

The victim called 911 from a nearby gas station. He was taken by ambulance to Innovis Health in Fargo, where he was treated for a severe laceration to the back of his head, the release stated.

The victim told police the suspects were possibly in their late teens. He also reported punching one of the suspects in the cheek and the other in the area of the mouth, so they may have injuries from those blows, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at (701) 433-5500.
