Police to present child safety tips

The Fargo Police Department will conduct a child safety presentation from 7 to 8:15 p.m. Thursday in the Discovery Middle School Auditorium, 1717 40th Ave. S., Fargo.

The presentation will include child safety tips for inside and outside the home, stranger danger, Internet safety, what parents should watch for and how parents can keep up with children of today.

There will also be a panel of local child safety professionals available to address questions and concerns, including Rick Buresh, superintendent of Fargo Public Schools; Roger Gress, executive director of the Fargo Park District; and Lt. Joel Vettel and Detective Paula Ternes of the Fargo Police Department.

The presentation is for adults only. The material presented is not suitable for children.
