Man sentenced for July home intrusionFARGO – A West Fargo man pleaded guilty this morning to entering a woman’s unlocked apartment in July.
Prosecutors amended a felony criminal trespass charge to a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge in exchange for Zachary Rudlang’s guilty plea.
East Central Judicial District Judge Wickham Corwin sentenced Rudlang to 30 days, first to serve two days, with the remaining 28 days suspended for a period of one year of unsupervised probation. He was given credit for two days previously spent in custody.
Rudlang was accused of going into a residence in the 800 block of Second Street West in the early morning hours of July 23, 2008 because he believed it was his residence. Rudlang, who was 19 at the time and intoxicated, left his shorts on the building’s front step when he left, police said.
