Police arrest West Fargo man for allegedly pointing gun at cab driver

FARGO – Police arrested a West Fargo man for allegedly pointing a gun at a cab driver outside a Fargo bar early today, Sgt. Ross Renner said.

Authorities initially got a call at 1:05 a.m. from a person who believed the man had a handgun, Renner said.

At 1:28 a.m., officers were called to Speck’s Bar at 2611 Main Ave. to check on a cab driver who reported that a man had pulled a gun on him, Renner said.

Officers arrived on scene, located the cab driver and took the suspect into custody, he said.

Paul William Ahonen, 40, of West Fargo, was arrested on suspicion of terrorizing and taken to the Cass County Jail, Renner said.
