Noridian awarded Medicare contract; up to 100 new jobs could be added in FargoFargo-based Noridian Administrative Services has been awarded a five-year Medicare administration contract that will add jobs in Fargo and other North Dakota locations.
The contract calls for Noridian to provide Medicare Part A and Part B administration services in Minnesota, Illinois and Wisconsin, said Kaylin Frappier, Noridian’s senior vice president of Medicare operations.
The contract will total approximately $277 million and will result in about 100 new jobs at its Fargo headquarters.
“We have other offices in North Dakota that will be expanding as well,” he said. “This certainly will add jobs in the state of North Dakota.”
In May 2008, Noridian was denied a $150 million contract to provide the same services for five years to Washington, Oregon, Alaska and Idaho.
Noridian still services those contracts after filing a protest and resubmitting a bid with the U.S Department of Human Services Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Noridian is awaiting final evaluation of the protest, Frappier said.
