Concordia Holiday Basketball Tournament: Balance leads way for Park Christian

Kyle Ulstad scored 22 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead Moorhead Park Christian to an 83-67 win over Lake-Park Audubon at the Concordia College Holiday Tournament Monday at Memorial Auditorium.

Tom Schwandt chipped in with 16 points and eight boards for the Falcons while Jake Fletcher and Bjorn Solberg both added 15 points.

Michael Baune scored 19 points as New York Mills picked up a 57-47 victory over Ulen-Hitterdal.

David Snelgrove added 10 points, three steals and a team-high eight rebounds for the Eagles.

Norman County East 63, Wheaton 45

Norman County East’s Bennefeld twins combined for 34 points as the Eagles rode a big second half to beat Wheaton 63-45.

Taylor and Tyler Bennefeld had 17 points apiece for Norman County East, and Tyler added nine rebounds.

The Eagles outscored Wheaton 41-27 in the second half. The Warriors were led by Luke Schmitz’s 20 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.
