Area college graduation ceremonies announcedMSCTC Moorhead graduation Friday
The Moorhead campus of Minnesota State Community and Technical College has scheduled winter graduation at 2 p.m. Friday in the campus auditorium.
More than 180 students are eligible to graduate.
Jill Kroenke, who is graduating with a double major in sales marketing and management and fashion marketing management, will be the student speaker.
MSUM graduation scheduled Friday
Minnesota State University Moorhead will graduate 450 students at 2 p.m. Friday in Nemzek Fieldhouse.
Moorhead Mayor Mark Voxland will deliver the commencement address.
Voxland is a 1972 MSUM graduate.
A reception for parents, family and friends of graduates is scheduled after the ceremony.
UND graduates 774 students Friday
The University of North Dakota will graduate 774 students on Friday.
The Graduate School will hold its graduation at 10 a.m. and the undergraduate ceremony will be at 2 p.m., both at the Chester Fritz Auditorium.
Both ceremonies will be streamed on the Internet at www.und.edu.
William Marcil, publisher of The Forum and chairman and chief executive officer of Forum Communications Co., will deliver the commencement address at each ceremony.
Marcil, a UND alumnus, also will receive an honorary doctorate degree.
NDSU graduation set for Saturday
North Dakota State University will hold winter graduation at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Fargodome.
More than 730 graduate and undergraduate students are eligible to participate in the ceremony.
All guests are welcome to attend. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis and is restricted to the concourse level.
Parking for the event is free at the Fargodome. Guests may enter through any general entrance, with the east and west doors opening at 8:30 a.m.
A reception will be held following the ceremony in the Fargodome lobby.
Honorary doctorate degrees will be presented to Maj. Gen. (ret.) Darrol G. Schroeder and his daughter, Maj. Gen. Terry L. Scherling.
Schroeder had a decorated 39-year career of combined active duty and National Guard service and has continued with distinguished leadership on both state and community levels.
Scherling is special assistant to the chief, National Guard Bureau, Arlington, Va.
Calli Wold, a Watford City, N.D., native, is the student speaker. She will graduate with a major in animal science and minor in agribusiness.
LeeAnn Urlacher, of Bismarck, will be the student soloist. She will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in vocal music education with a minor in instrumental music education.
