No arrests made at Fargo and Cass County DUI checkpointsFARGO - No arrests were made at two sobriety checkpoints conducted overnight by the Fargo Police Department and Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
One driver was cited for careless driving.
A total of 121 vehicles traveled through the first checkpoint, conducted between 11:18 p.m. Wednesday and 12:26 a.m. Thursday in the 600 block of 25th Street South. Four drivers were flagged for further testing.
The second checkpoint in the 1000 block of 28th Street South had 26 vehicles pass through between 12:41 and 2:18 a.m. Three vehicles were flagged for further testing.
Fargo police have made 110 arrests for driving under the influence during 38 checkpoints since October 2004.
Grant-funded officers will continue searching for impaired drivers throughout August as part of the Impaired Driving National Enforcement Crackdown, police said in a news release.
