One arrested for marijuana possession during sobriety checkpoint in FargoA sobriety checkpoint set up in Fargo Friday night netted one arrest – for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The checkpoint in the 4300 block of 32nd Avenue South was in place from 11:35 p.m. Friday until 2:20 a.m. Saturday.
Fargo police announced Tuesday that they would be running a checkpoint Friday along with the Cass County Sheriff’s Department and the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
It was the 35th checkpoint conducted in the city since October 2004. To date, 102 DUI arrests have been made.
In conjunction with Friday night’s checkpoint, officers working DUI saturation patrols made seven DUI arrests.
One person arrested for DUI was also arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, Fargo police said.
