Szymanski recommended for MSUM president

MOORHEAD - Edna Szymanski will likely be the next president of Minnesota State University Moorhead.

The chancellor of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system recommended Szymanski to succeed President Roland Barden.

The MnSCU board of trustees will vote on her appointment on Wednesday. The board typically endorses the chancellor’s recommendation.

Szymanski is senior vice president for academic affairs and provost of the University of Maine in Orono.
