Jurors continue deliberating in Gibbs trialBISMARCK – Jury deliberations resumed this morning in the Moe Gibbs murder trial here and prosecutors hinted they could continue over the weekend if a verdict is not reached today.
Assistant Attorney General Jonathan Byers would not answer directly when asked if the jury would be sequestered, but he hinted it would be a good idea if reporters stuck around.
The jury began deliberating Tuesday on the question of whether Gibbs murdered Mindy Morgenstern, a 22-year-old college student who lived in the same apartment building as Gibbs in Valley City, N.D.
Attorneys from both sides met behind closed doors with the judge for about 25 minutes this morning prior to Byers making his comments.
