Moorhead woman dies in I-94 accidentA 60-year-old Moorhead woman was killed Wednesday when the vehicle she was driving rear-ended a parked semitrailer on Interstate 94 between Fergus Falls and Alexandria, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.
The woman’s name was being withheld pending notification of relatives.
She was driving a 2004 Chevy Impala about 2:45 p.m. when she rear-ended the semi truck, which was parked on the shoulder of the road with its flashers on, the State Patrol said in a news release.
The woman was wearing her seat belt, and the car’s airbag deployed, the State Patrol said.
The truck’s driver, David Domier, 63, of Harwood, N.D., was not injured.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office and Ashby Police Department also responded to the accident, east of the Evansville exit.
