NDSU football: Travel change comes from "Montana debacle"

The travel tradition for North Dakota State football for many years was to conduct a walk-through practice at the opposing stadium on Friday. That system got torched, literally, in 2003.

All the Division II Bison did was wake up Saturday and burn Division I-AA Montana. That was the end of the Friday practice routine.

“It goes back to the Montana debacle,” NDSU head coach Craig Bohl said.
